WHO IS THE APPLICATION ESSAY MASTER?
IT'S ME, ANDREA!
(And I get by with a little help from my friends.)
I am dedicated to transforming your admission essays and personal statements into masterpieces that echo your passion and personality.
Having been through the application essay journey myself, I understand the nuances and importance of crafting an essay that not only meets the institutional standards but also reflects your individuality.

I work in a friendly and personalized way, getting to know you and the vision you have for your application essays or statements.

I am proud to have collaborated with clients from diverse backgrounds and locations worldwide. They include:
-
Students and their parents
-
Adult learners pursuing advanced degrees
-
Business professionals
-
Volunteers
-
Other fantastic people!
English is my mother tongue, but I also speak, read, and write Latin American Spanish at an advanced level. (I don't write or edit essays in Spanish, but I have professional contacts who do.)

WHY DO I LOVE MY JOB?
By far, the reason I am so deeply enthusiastic about being an Application Essay Master is because of the amazing people I get to work with every day.
Each client comes with their own unique story, and I have the rewarding job of helping them refine it so it stands out to admissions committees. I also find great enjoyment in reading their essays or personal statements, as they offer fascinating perspectives and narratives.
ANDREA
The Human Being
I´m a native New Yorker who moved to Panama in 1999 when I joined the Peace Corps. I served for three years as a Small Business volunteer and an English Language tutor. Before that, I studied in New York University's "15-year Switch Your Major Three Times" program, (Oh, you didn't know they had that program? It was all the rage in the 80s and 90s!), and finally graduated with a BA in International Studies.
Somewhere along the way, I traveled as a backpacker for 1.5 years, became a Corporate Events Planner at the now-defunct Salomon Brothers Investment Bank, and became fluent in Spanish.
After my Peace Corps assignment ended, I opened and successfully operated The Purple House International Backpacker Hostel in David City, Panama. Amongst other things, I learned how to say "the bathroom is that way" in 34 different languages!
Great times and great people but after many years in the corporate world and the tourism industry, I decided to pursue the next chapter:
